Happy New Year {The Eve}

Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us...

A gang of good boys, together on New Year's Eve, after Mass, to celebrate
Kevin's 18th birthday (far L)

and to have a Foosball battle... well after bedtime

Chris on the ladder... miming?

Composing...
"Hey, we should compose ring tones!"

The sharing of rye bread:
We take many small bites, torn from each person's slice, as a sign of friendship in the New Year...
We eat the rye bread with pickled herring at midnight,
which is an old Polish tradition, carried on faithfully by our slightly Polish
(and fairly Scottish/Irish) boys and our guests each New Year.

Happy New Year!

On this day, we re-dedicate our family into the care of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and his (and our) Blessed Mother and Saint Joseph.  May they continue to guide us, watch over us, protect us and inspire us to live as children of the light in this New Year.

"You may say that I'm a dreamer
but I'm not the only one.
I hope someday you will join us
and the world will be as one."
~JOHN LENNON

On this World Day of Peace:
Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with me...
